swiss-list: Swiss 'registration'

Hi, my wife and I recently got married. I am American
and she is Swiss and will be coming to the US on an
immigrant visa/green card. But we may want to go back
to Switzerland after a few years.

My question is about 'registration' in Switzerland.
After the marriage, they are telling her she has to
change her address of registration in Switzerland. She
would like to stay registered if possible, since she
may want to consider keeping her health insurance in
Switzerland since she returns every summer. Any
suggestions? This seems like a 'gray' area. I don't
believe Switzerland will have any knowledge of her
coming to the US since I doubt the US embassy notifies
the Swiss government when someone applies for an
immigrant visa, but I may be wrong. It is possible for
her to remain registered with her current address
(mother's)? What have other people done in this case?

Any other suggestions in other areas from couples in
this situation would also be welcome.

Thanks,
Dan
