Ciao Serge

I just did it a month ago (living in the Seattle area, I went up to
Whistler and then to the Consulate to get at least some skiing in this
dreadful season).

Some items to watch out for to help annoying delays:

- Do not bring your cellphone, laptop or any bag to the Consulate. They
wont allow you in and screen you several times.

- Bring the visa fee in US currency and cash (no cheques or CC
accepted).

- Make sure that your paperwork is in order (filled out all the forms,
have all supporting documents, especially the ones from your company)

There is no guarantee that you get your visa stamp the same day (or at
all). But my experience indicates that it works out, except if you have
somebody in your party that they cannot take a fingerprint. In that
case, you probably can get it the day after. This was the case with me:
my wife and I got the stamp quickly enough so we could have picked it up
on the same time, but since they are not allowed to fingerprint minors,
the stamp for my daughters passport took a day longer (I wonder what
they need to check for an eight year old).

I hope this helps
Michael
