"Switzerland is the greatest country on earth": that is actually a very good
call although I would never make it. How could I? I've only been to a couple of
countries so far, so how can I say that Switzerland is the greatest of them
all? Then, how can the americans claim that their country ist the greatest
while most of them haven't left their home country yet (even their current
president before he got elected, and now this guy rules the most powerfull
country on this planet... scary...) and know nothing about what's going on in
the rest of the world (no wonder with the news coverage they have...). I don't
get it...

I never thought that I'm actually going to be proud of being a Swiss. But the
americans made me and I thank them for it. It took me only a couple of months
until I put a Swiss sticker on my car which I would have never done if I'd
stayed back in Switzerland. I must admit, since I'm in the US, I started to
look at Switzerland in a different way and I started to realize that we have a
lot of good things that I just took as granted until now. And I'm already
missing them... :-)

on the other side, I must also admit that the US is a nice place to live from a
natural and environmental point of view. That country sure has some very nice
spots and that's what I like best. Additionally, yes, I like working here. They
have much better opportun ities than in Switzerland and that's the ultimate
reason I came here. But do I want to stay forever? thank god, NO!

So the bottom line (for me) is: all that can never make up all the shortcomings
that inevitably and sadly come along when living here. too bad...

regards
..juerg
