If this is true, it would be best to pay the swiss social security but
nobody ever told me that. I was told that you had to pay *both* US and
Swiss social security and if it's the case, it's a no brainer...

You will loose 2,25% for every year you don't pay the Swiss social
security. So now you can do your math.
