I just got the e-mail below about a petition against a new INS
rule which will affect many visitors (family,,..).

Subject: INS petition

Hello Friends,

If you haven't heard the news, INS plans to restrict tourists to a 30-day
stay period, extended only for compelling medical or business reasons. It
affects all people who have family members visiting for extended periods of
time. In addition, the INS will publish their proposed
rule in the Federal Register and will kick off the 30-day comment period.

Here is a petition online to stop the Immigration and Naturalization
Service (INS) from implementing the new 30 day limit for visitors to the
United States. Please go online and sign the petition and spread the word
among the immigrant community in the United States. You can view the
