Boris - I don't have a rooms to offer you, but some further resources and a
few words of caution. First, rest assured that there is absolutely no
shortage of rooms and apartments in downtown SF. I would check out the most
popular resources (see below) or wait until you get here and then start
looking around. Just bear in mind that unlike in Switzerland you can *not*
assume that most rooms/apts. here in SF live up to the descriptions in the
ads. Oftentimes they aren't anywhere as cozy, nice, clean, safe or modern as
one would anticipate from their descriptions. So in order to save yourself
from major disappointments, I suggest you don't make any long term
commitments before you actually get here and will be able to look at the
rooms/apts. in person. You should have no problems whatsoever finding
something suitable within a few days - especially not if you'll be working
for the consulate. The housing market here has changed dramatically (for the
better) since the economy started going down hill a few years ago. Good
