Hi Oliver,

As a general rule, shares in a "fund" can only be offered / sold to US
residents by the so-called issuer, if the fund is registered with the SEC.

This has been the law for many years and to limit exposure, most foreign banks
/ investment companies, etc. now require your confirmation that you are not a
US resident to avoid potential liability.

However, you can retain a broker to purchase the shares of a foreign fund on
the secondary market, provided there is one and your broker is willing to
execute the order.

I hope this helps, if not, please feel free to call me.

Good luck!

Michael
