Hello,
I recently got married, and my wife is a US citizen. I am going through the
paperwork for the greencard, and found out about the affidavit of support that
my wife needs to fill out, which requires her to submit her last three W2 with
income over 125% of the poverty level, and proof of current employment.
The problem is that she is currently going to school and not working, while I
have been working with a work visa for several years (my company has been
really slow with my greencard application).
Does anyone know if there are ways to bypass the affidavit of support? Can I
use my income to justify instead of hers to show that I won't need support from
the US government?
