Hi,

You really shouldnt be worrying about this. When you dont have a job in
the US, you dont get a W-4 from your employer, and hence it is
automatically clear that you were not earning anything and not working in
the US.

And although the IRS may not have very close ties with the INS, I am sure
they still know that you left.

I hope that is reassuring :)
