Dear Swiss-listers,
Yesterday somebody tried to post a message anonymously to the Swiss-List.
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Because of the urgency, we decided to post
the message anyway, so here it is. We assume that the poster is either
subscribed to the list or reads the online archive, but we hope that the
anonymous poster opens a free email account on e.g. Yahoo, hotmail, gmx.net or
similar and posts the message again. This will also allow people to answer
privately to this delicate issue. So for now, do not send your answers to me,
as I could not forward them anyway and would have to delete them, but instead
post to the Swiss-List.

Subject: Need help
Dear all,
I recently moved to San Diego with my family (we have 2 infants) and I find
my-self in a very critical position. The company that hired me does not respect
any of the contractual agreements that we had. I find myself shifted from an
R&D position to taking care of the instruments. The CEO, Chief operating
officer and President of R&D have extremely controvertial speech concerning the
R&D in my field, and mostlikely they will drop it. I can't have any statement
(written is not even thinkable) concerning whath they want ot do with me, what
are the project I should work on. I started on some projects but they were
taken away from me. I don't understand why they hired me to put in such a
situation, I don't see what they can gain from putting me in such situation.
I learned today that they haven't paid the transport of our furniture from
Switzerland to the US, and it seems that the CEO is not intending to pay even
if that was stated in my contract. I had to fight the have this paid by the
company and I would have refused the offer if they had not promissed it. So at
the time I signed the offer, we (the CEO and I) agreed that I hand-written add
it on the offer, is this leagle.
Do you think I should look for a layer (looking for a new job that's for sure).
It only took 40 days to get to that point! I would appreciate any good advice.
