The Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, University of
Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (http://www.heig-vd.ch),
Yverdon-les-Bains, invites applications for two faculty positions at the
Professor level in the fields of a) Networking and Security and b)
Applications and Security. Areas of interest include all aspects of
networks, software and applications security. An industrial or a
~Sstart-up~T experience (possibly with responsibilities) of at least 5
years is required for the two positions. Successful applicants who join
the University of Applied Sciences are expected to develop and maintain
a productive program of applied research (EU and Swiss National
Projects, industrial mandates), provide a stimulating learning
environment for undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to
the administration of the Institute for Information and Communications
Technologies (www.iict.ch) to which the candidate will be attached.
Candidates should have an earned Ph.D. and demonstrated a record of
accomplishment in the mentioned areas and a strong commitment to
excellence in teaching. Candidates do not have to speak French but
should be willing to learn it fast (the majority of courses will be
taught in French). The Institute for Information and Communications
Technologies (IICT) and The University of Applied Sciences (HEIG-Vd) at
Yverdon has a policy which encourages the creation of start-ups.

teaching and research plan, and the name of at least three references
