I should add that I do not even recall bringing my Swiss passport to the
hearing with the naturalization service and certainly not to the ceremony.
And I was never asked any questions about retaining my Swiss citizenship. I
DID bring my green card to the hearing with the officer, and this was
confiscated at that time (was kind of sorry to see it go -- always loved the
term "RESIDENT ALIEN" ...:-).
I believe I got a temporary naturalization certificate or something like
that in return, before getting the real certificate at the ceremony.
