Here are some pointers:
- Taxes: count about 20-25% tax bill for incomes between CHF 100k - 200k.
This of course will vary on the actual commune (town) you live in.
- Health insurance: not provided by employers, contracted privately and
mandatory: about CHF 250/ mo for base (mandatory) coverage.
- Rent: about CHF 2000 / mo for a 2-3 bedroom place. Again, depends on
where you live, how big a place, etc.
- Everything else: things in general do tend to be expensive in Switzerland.
Empirical data: moving back from the US (California), I've found it to be
about the same.
