Hi all, I was wondering whether there are people that would like to share their
experience in buying a house here with money from family in Switzerland.
Although this issue has been brought up before on this list, I found that the
public replies did not satisfactorily address the questions. Surely there must
be people who have been in a similar situation as we are, which is the
following: We are considering a purchase, but will not be able to do it without
help from family. What is the best way to do that? Is a premature inheritance
(Erbvorbezug) better than an interest free loan from parents? Can parents be
co-owners? If I transfer money from my Swiss bank account to my US account,
does the American finance system care at all how it ended up in my Swiss bank
account? What other considerations do I have to take into account? If anyone
has experience with that kind of stuff, I'd be much interested in learning from
you. I would also be happy to call if you feel it is too much work to write
