   dear swiss list,

   It is legal to bring in cheese into the US. You are allowed to bring
   in cheese, chocolate, cookies, dough, pretty much everything except
   for fuits, vegetables and meat products. Some people think that is not
   legal but I asked about the USA customs about 4 times over the years
   so I know for sure that it is legal. Plus I get inspected pretty much
   every time when I come back to the US and I always have alot of cheese
   and other things with me and it has never been a problem, because it
   is not illegal!!!! SO don't worry people and enjoy your fondue...
