I agree with you - 'pay less, get more luxury' really sounds like a dotcom concept,
doesn't it? And fortunately it is government sponsored - excuse me: funded. (And with my
1.85m height, I also agree with the leg room..)
Actually I do not care a lot about the name or how the logo looks like. But I do not
think that it is the right time to offer luxury as a concept to get customers, when
security is extremely important and other airlines offer extremely cheap tickets.
Especially when a lot of people are scared to travel with airlines and a lot of other
people prefer paying less..
The old Swissair already had a very good brand - it was known as a secure, reliable
airline (whether true or not). This is what most of the people already have in mind when
thinking 'Swiss'. I do not think, that it is necessary to serve wine in 7dl bottles and
use porcelaine plates (with plastic knifes?).
However I do believe, that rather security features on board will convice customers to
fly with the new Swiss airline.
