   Sarah,
   
   we do not have a long distance company because we refuse to pay every
   month the charges they ask in addition of the local company...
   
   We use WorldExchange dial number. It's free (no charges per month),
   and the reception is good. You have to dial 10-10-834 before the
   number you want to dial, then you add the country code, etc...
   
   We pay 9cts/min. for Switzerland...
   
   We also used in the past PT-1 communication but it is a little bit
   more expensive (11cts/min for Switzerland).
   
   Both work also for US long distance but I guess it would be a little
   bit more expensive than with a special plan for that.
