You might be much better off saving 5 or 10% of your salary. Check your
company's benefit plan, they might contribute to your a 401(k) plan (10
or 20% of your savings). Invest this money until your retirement and
you'll see that you might get much more out of it than the 2.3% penalty
for not contributing AVS/AHV. Don't expect to get much out of the
American Social Security.
