SEPTEMBER 6 : SUNRISE & IMD
Sunrise Communications AG (one of the Swiss telephone companies) will be
bringing a group of top E-Business and IT executives from a mixture of
Swiss multinationals and institutions to Silicon Valley, in an immersion
program organized by IMD (the famous management school in Lausanne).
With the support of the Swiss Science & Technology Office, a cocktail
will be held in Palo Alto on the evening of Wednesday, September 6th,
with - hopefully - a very interesting guest speaker. This event is open
to anyone working for a Swiss company in Silicon Valley, having strong
business ties to Switzerland, and to any Swiss working or studying in
the Valley.

OCTOBER 24 : ENTREPRENEURSHIP & VENTURE CAPITAL
A venture capitalist and an entrepreneur, both Swiss but working in
California since quite some time, will freely discuss with us some
aspects of innovation, startups, funding, career choice, etc., in the US
and in Switzerland. This dinner-meeting in Menlo Park will be a
follow-up to the event with Andreas Danuser last March, co-organized
by the Swiss-List and Swiss Science & Technology Office. Among the
guests will be the Mr. A. Defago, the Ambassador of Switzerland to
the US, and Mr. A. Koller, former Federal Councillor.

LAST WEEK OF NOVEMBER
Keep this week's evenings open : we might have some guests from
Switzerland able to give us a very broad and nevertheless precise view
of the Swiss labor market for highly skilled people.
