o Swiss Health Service Company Gets $5.4 Million in Round One

BASEL, Switzerland -- McWellness, a Switzerland-based
company that provides executive healthcare management
services, said it raised EUR 6 million ($5.4 million)
in its first round of venture funding. Investors
in the round include Securitas Capital and Rudolf
Maag, former chief executive officer of Synthes-Stratec.
As a result of this investment, Securitas Capital
managing director John F. Shettle will join the
board of directors, as will Mr. Maag. The company
will use the funds to expand its operations into
other countries, including the United States. Prior
to this round, McWellness had early stage backing
from McKinsey & Co. and UBS.
