CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN LOW POWER MICROELECTRONICS

EM-Marin is the market leader for ultra low power high performance mixed signal integrated circuits. A company of the Swatch group, EM Marin's advanced wafer fabrication and testing facilities are located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Products include low voltage (0.9V+) ultra low power mixed signal integrated circuits with options such as EEPROM on chip, high performance LCDs and modules and advanced interconnection techniques such as gold wafer bumping.

Due to continued expansion, EM Marin is looking for experienced semiconductor professionals in the following key positions:

WAFER FAB MANAGER

This is a management board level position within the company, reporting to the President. Up to 250 trained technical personnel will be reporting to you, including 70 engineers and technicians, 20 supervisors and 150 trained operators.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in wafer fab management, strong team leading ability and fluency in English. Desirable qualifications include an engineering degree in microelectronics and competence in French. In certain circumstances, an experienced module leader may succeed in this position.

The manufacturing facility is a high volume 5 shift facility, fully SMIFed, with ultra low voltage low power processes ranging from 2 to 0.5 micron double poly, double metal with a non-volatile memory option.

Core areas of responsibility include - wafer fabrication, photoetch, diffusion, ion implant, metal and process control. Depending on the profile of the successful candidate, optional responsibilities may include back-end operations, probing, testing, bumping, planning and CAM management, process development (R&D) and chemicals.

EM Marin requires a dynamic manager with proven experience, who will have the mission to maintain the wafer fab's competitiveness as a cornerstone of continued company growth. You should feel comfortable with ambitious objectives with respect to Fab Output, Process Yield, Cycle Yield, Cost, Personnel, Process Development, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality.

MODULE MANAGER PHOTOLITHOGRAPHY, ETCH AND RESIST CLEAN or DIFFUION, IMPLANT, PECVD

Responsibilities include managing a manufacturing module composed of 10 engineers, 15 technicians and 40 operators as well as global assignments of the company in technical and HR matters.

EM Marin seeks a dynamic manager with proven experience in these fields. You should have the expertise developed over multiple years working on technical issues and manufacturing problems As a manager, you must have the ability to meet production quotas required of your module while maintaining a challenged and motivated work force. Responsibilities include setting line yield, cycle time, activity and equipment efficiency standards for this module as well as the transfer schedules of state-of-the-art technologies.

PROCESS ENGINEERS (PHOTO, ETCHING, DIFFUSION, PECVD, THIN FILM,)

Behind every complex multifunctional low power circuit is a challenging role in process engineering in our advanced manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities include technical support of the fab, process and working methods improvement. Requirements include an engineering degree and a minimum of five years' experience in the volume production of state-of-the-art integrated circuits, a demonstrable expertise and detailed knowledge of the latest process techniques, well developed project management skills and an understanding of SPC, Design of Experiment (DOE) and problem solving methods.

SENIOR IC DESIGNERS - ANALOG AND MIXED SIGNAL

Our advanced low power mixed signal design center is organised into Business Product Units (BPUs) for smart cards, microcontrollers, RFID products, standard products, mixed mode arrays and ASICs. Successful candidates will work as key people in cross functional teams for the development of advanced products.

As a degree level engineer well experienced in CMOS design and product development, you will be involved in designing new generations of multifunctional low power portable products, working in close liaison with an expanding customer base and our on-site production facility.
