I am new to the Bay Area and would like to probably purchase quite a bit of
your household goods. Please email to me your tel numbers day/nite or call
me.

My family moved from Boston to Switzerland in 1974 and we brought a VW
Squareback with us. It was a nightmare. The regulations are different and
lots of structural work had to be performed and the car your out of service
for a long time and it was expensive. I would suggest selling the van and
purchasing a Swiss retail version in Switzerland instead. That's usually
cheaper, easier, and less hassle. Of course much has changed since 1974,
so I'd be curious to hear your experience.

Subject: swiss-list: Moving to Switzerland :-( :-) :-( :-) :-)

We're moving back to Switzerland in August and want to take a car
(Minivan) plus some personal stuff with us, but not a complete household
(no furniture).
Does anybody know a good moving company for a relocation from San Jose
to Switzerland which does it for a reasonable price? Any experience on
how to move a car and import it?
Please send a note to studis_at_ix.netcom.com. Your help is greatly
appreciated!
Markus

PS: We have a complete household to sell, including car (Ford Escort LX
Wagon, 1996), appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator, TV/VCR, CD, BBQ,
lawn mower, etc.), furniture (beds K/Q/F/cribs, table, chairs, desk,
shelves, etc.), tons of kids' stuff, etc. etc.
