Cher Michel,

I can give you the info of 2 nonprofit associations which are both
authorized to issue a form (IAP-66 if I remember right), that you carry to
the US embassy in Bern in order to get a J-1 traineeship visa. Such visa
are issued for various lentgh up to 18 months. You can either find your
own employer or they (i.e. Sartori) can help you find one. The paperwork
is relatively easy and efficient (timewise, only couple days response time
!), the hard part will probably be to convince an employer of such a visa
solution. Of course they have a handling fee on the order of $800 which
you probably can share with the employer.

Check the following urls:

http://www.aipt.org
This organization collaborates with the BIGA in Bern, where you send the
application in.

http://www.sartori-associates.com
This organisation is similar, maybe smaller. The guy with the following
email has ticinese origin... mhg_at_sartori-associates.com = Michael Gaedecke

(http://www.eurasia-usa.com 'immigratoin to US for Scientists'
this last one is one intended for longterm solutions ... )

hope that helps
