Hi everybody,

The "Television Suisse Romande" show "Temps Present" is interested in
doing a topic on the "Swiss Brain Drain to the US". They will be in the
area sometime in January to prepare the topic, with shooting planned for
early February (precise dates to be announced).

They have asked me to help them prepare the topic, and in particular, try
to find people they could talk to in the following categories:

a) Swiss Companies (small, medium or multinational) that abandoned part of
their research to transfer it in the US.

b) Scientists who left with a grant from the Swiss National Fund for
Scientific Research, intending to stay for 2 years, but
   decided to stay longer.

c) Scientists who have received interesting offers from American
companies and have a job that would be difficult to find in
   Switzerland.

d) Scientists who have created a company or "startup" and could not have
   done it in Switzerland.

For all these questions, perception is as important as reality. It doesn't
matter if in reality, you really could have gone back or started a company
in Switzerland. What is interesting is if you had the *perception* that it
would be difficult, impossible, not motivating, etc...

Please let me know if you are interested in participating, or if you know
someone who fits in any of these categories. This is your chance to help.

Send me a note indicating your interest, how you can be contacted (email &
phone (office and home)), and a short blurb describing your "story".

Greetings and Happy Holidays,

Laurent Piguet
