THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF SWITZERLAND IN SAN FRANCISCO
Is offering the following permanent, part-time position:
Cultural Assistant
(60 %, three days/week)
You will be working in a small team, primarily assisting in planning and organizing
cultural events in the Bay Area and beyond. Other tasks include editing a newsletter,
maintaining a data base, providing general
information about Switzerland to the public (schools, tourism, customs etc).
Requirements / skills:
Friendly and outgoing personality, willingness to work in a multicultural environment
Good knowledge of the cultural institutions and universities in Northern California
Experience in event planning, creativity
Ability to network and communicate, multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent command of the English language, ability to edit complex texts
Knowledge of German or French desired, but not required
Command of basic PC programs, good typing skills
Must be a United States citizen or Permanent Resident
Position opens in May 2008.
