Hi Fellow Swiss-Listers,
You know how friends always make the best networks? So I'm putting the
word
out to my fabulous network of friends that I'm looking for a new housemate!
Yes, Franco will be leaving us, and moving back to Switzerland as of July
25th. I'll be sad to see him go, as we've had a lovely time living together.
But the good news is that it creates a nice possibility for someone you
might know who's looking for a nice housemate situation.
The Room: 13'x15', with big bay windows overlooking a jungle oasis. It's
fully furnished (or not, as you wish) and available as of August 1.
The Home: A well cared for vintage 1904 Edwardian: Many original features
such as hardwood floors and antique redwood paneling, original paintings
and
Danish Modern furniture make for an elegantly eclectic mix. It often serves
as the stage for dinner parties, BBQ's and other gourmet events with other
international professional friends. And just think, you'll be invited too!
The Housemate: Single creative professional woman (me!) and my very sociable
cat. I've been going to Switzerland for 20 years and have many friends
there. I speak fairly good French (mais je voudrais practice), and spend
quite a bit of time in the Alps Vaudois.
The Neighborhood: Potrero Hill offers many great restaurants, cool shops
and
plenty of public transportation within short walking distance. There's
even
a new Whole Foods opening up in August. Parking is plentiful, the streets
are clean and quiet, and we get the most sunny days per year of any area
in
the city.
