Please join the Business Stammtisch for relaxed mingling and exchange of ideas, every 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:30 &#65533;" 7:30 pm at swissnex.

This month, Brian Rowbotham of Rowbotham & Company and Richard S. Kinyon, Esq. of Morrison & Forester will discuss cross border domestic and international planning for executives and entrepreneurs.

Following the presentation will be an update for Club Entrepreneur, the Chamber's program that supports carefully selected new business ideas with talent and guidance from appropriate Chamber members.

Appetizers, refreshments, and chocolate will be served by the Chamber.

Stammtisch is held the 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at swissnex, 730 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94111, (http://www.swissnex.org/connect.html). Entrance fees are $5.00 for Swiss American Chamber of Commerce members and $10.00 for all others. You may RSVP and make payment if desired) at: http://www.acteva.com/go/saccbizforum. Agenda: Doors open at 5:30 pm for informal networking; the SACC provides an overview at 6pm; the presentation starts at 6:15pm; Club Entrepreneur presents at 7pm; and the event ends at 7:30 with those who wish to departing for a no-host dinner at a local restaurant.

Brian Rowbotham: Mr. Rowbotham is the managing partner of Rowbotham & Company LLP, a CPA firm with offices in San Francisco and Palo Alto. Mr. Rowbotham has been in practice for over 28 years. His clients include multinational companies, closely held businesses and executives. He is a frequent speaker at both U.S. and foreign tax planning organizations and is a guest lecturer at the Haas School of Business at the University of California. Prior to founding the firm, he was in the tax group at Price Waterhouse in London and San Francisco. Mr. Rowbotham received his bachelor's degree and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
 
Richard Kinyon: Mr. Kinyon has been associated with Morrison & Foerster since 1965 and was a partner from 1971 through 2004. His practice emphasizes in taxation, community property, estate planning, probate, and trust law. He has been certified as a Specialist in Taxation Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization since 1973. Mr. Kinyon has co-authored chapters in California Continuing Education of the Bar publications on drafting business buyout agreements, tax planning for the prospective retiree, using family partnerships as an estate planning tool, the income tax aspects of estates and trusts, and the overview of estate planning practice in California Estate Planning. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (2005-2007) as a leader in the field of Trusts & Estates law. Mr. Kinyon received both his J.D. in 1965 and undergraduate degree in 1961 from the University of Minnesota.
