Please join us for the monthly Swiss American Chamber of Commerce Stammtisch held every second Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm at Swissnex.

Former local Stefan Schneeberger is here from Switzerland to discuss the booming Photovoltaic industry (renewable energy via photovoltaic panels): will it be the new semiconductor industry? He will provide an outlook of the global industry and will highlight the leaders of this technology (California, Japan and Europe with an emphasis on Switzerland).

Stefan lived and worked in the Bay Area from 1999 until 2004 when he returned to Switzerland. While in the US, he worked for Small Precision Tools in Petaluma. He is currently the CEO of HCT Shaping Systems SA (www.hct.ch), the world's leading manufacturer of wire saws for the Photovoltaic and Semiconductor industries. Stefan holds a Masters of Microtechnology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and an MBA from USF.

Following Stefan's presentation will be an update for Club Entrepreneur, the Chamber's program that supports carefully selected new business ideas with talent and guidance from appropriate Chamber members.
