[SFBay] Host an Exchange Student or Adult from AUSTRIA April 4-17 or April 8-22

I work for SWIFT, a nonprofit student exchange
organization in Oakland. We are looking for families
in San Francisco or the East Bay interested in hosting
an exchange student or an adult chaperon for 2 weeks
around Easter. Because the students and their adult
chaperones are here to practice their English language
skills and learn about the local culture, only
families that primarily speak English at home are
eligible. A single adult may host one of the
chaperones.

The exchange students all attend the same Catholic
high school called Schottengymnasium, one of the
oldest private schools in Vienna. This year, the 10th
Anniversary of this exchange program, there are 2
groups coming:
* April 4-17 group - 25 male students (ages 14-17) & 1
female adult left
* April 8-22 group - 17 female students (ages 16-18) &
2 female adults left

During weekday business hours, the Austrian groups
will visit tourist points and attend classes at high
schools in the East Bay and San Francisco. In the
evenings and on weekends, the students will relax or
participate in the activities of their host families
allowing members to learn about Austrian culture and
practice German language skills.

The exchange students and adults often take public
transit to get to/from their group activities; bring
spending money for personal expenses (BART/bus
tickets, clothes, meals at restaurants, etc); and have
accident, medical and liability insurance.

If your family or a family you know is interested
participating in this adventure, please call me at
