On behalf of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, you are invited to attend the SACC Stammtisch at swissnex at 5:30 pm this Thursday, January 13th. Jean Benoit Levy, a well known Swiss graphic designer, will be speaking about the design of a Commemorative Swiss 20 FR coin. He will show the research for the illustration for this coin and will review the steps of design development through final fabrication. After the event, some of the attendees typically go out to a local restaurant for an informal dinner around 7:30 pm.

When: January 13th, Thursday from 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Cost: $5.00 for Chamber members and $10.00 for all others. Refreshments will be served.

More about Jean-Benoit Lévy
Jean-Benoît Lévy was born in Pully in the Canton of Vaud on 17 June 1959. After his training as a graphic designer at the School of Design in Basel, he was Art Director with the Basel Trade Fair. He subsequently worked as a freelancer for various graphic design studios, and traveled to New York and San Francisco. In 1989 he opened his own studio in Basel, under the name 'AND'. Since 2001 he has lived and worked in both Basel and in the United States and holds teaching posts in both countries. He has shown his work in numerous individual and group exhibitions all over the world. Jean-Benoît Lévy has already received several awards for his works, both in Switzerland and abroad, and his work has been presented in various books and magazines. The artist has also become well known in Switzerland by his creation of the 'A-mail' stamp for the Swiss Post. W: http://www.and.ch
