Just in time for Christmas we received the confirmation that Mario
Botta, the Swiss architect who designed the SF MOMA, will be a speaker
at swissnex in January 2005. Check the details below ...

Mario Botta, architect of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and
the recent renovation of the Scala in Milano, Italy will present his
work, as well as the schools of architecture in Switzerland. A
translator will be present. Mario Botta currently teaches at the
Universit` della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland.

Doors will open at 8.30am, with coffee and pastries served. The
conference will start at 9.15am, and probably last for 45 minutes,
followed by Q&As.

Indigenous Fabrics
Opening night of an art exhibit by Swiss artist Natascha Devaud

Through Indigenous Fabrics, the artist is presenting a collection of
painted portraits of women and children from around the world, with an
emphasis on fashion, fabrics and details from their native lands.
