                        Lantern Parade

                Wednesday, 10 November at 6pm
                275 Elliott Drive, Menlo Park

Join us to celebrate the legend of St. Martin by singing and parading
around the neighborhood with our way lit by the children’s lanterns.

The German-American International School and the German-American
Saturday School are co-hosting the Lantern Parade and invite you to
celebrate St. Martin in the old European tradition.

At 6pm, we start with a shadow theatre performance about the legend of
St. Martin and how he showed us by example the importance of sharing.
Following the performance, everybody will join in a walk around the
neighborhood holding their candle-lit lanterns and singing songs. Warm
apple cider and gingerbread (Weckmaenner/Martinsmaenner) await us at
the School after the parade. Fans, friends and family are welcome to
join for this very special event.

Directions: Coming from either North or South on 101 you can't miss us.
Just watch out for the big IKEA sign and then take the University exit
and proceed towards Palo Alto. At University Circle, turn right on
Woodland Ave, turn right on Manhattan Ave, go 0.1 mi, turn left on
O’Connor St., go 0.4 mi, turn left on Elliott Dr, go 0.2 mi. Arrive at
our school.
We kindly ask you to observe the speed limit of 15miles/hour on Elliot
Drive. Thank you.
