"The sense of humor: can it be measured ?" ... Discover this
fascinating subject and network with people in the fields of
psychology, social sciences and other related disciplines.

The speaker will be Prof. Willibach Ruch, Chair of the Division for
Personality and Assessment, Department of Psychology, University of
Zurich, Switzerland, and 2002 President of the International Society
for Humor Studies (ISHS). In his teaching and research on positive
psychology, Prof. Ruch focuses on several areas : the development and
validation of a taxonomy of jokes and cartoons, its cross-cultural
stability, the study of the relationship between humor appreciation and
personality, the role of emotion, mood, and temperament in humor, and
lately the definition and measurement of the sense of humor.
