Registration Fee: $75 if pre-registered, $125 on the day. Includes lunch
and coffee breaks.
US and state government agencies including the National Institutes of
Health, National Cancer Institute, National Institute for Standards and
Technology, BioStar and the Department of Defense all provide funds to
small biotechnology companies with innovative technologies in the form
of grants. The government uses grants to speed development of
technologies that will benefit citizens and the economy and to improve
international competitiveness. For companies, grants provide
non-dilutive funding, validation from peers, feedback from experts and
prestige. Perhaps most important, the grant writing process forces you
and your scientists to thoroughly plan and justify projects, just as
your business plan did. At BioE2E's second annual Alternative Funding
Fair event, you will learn about the various programs available, grant
writing strategies and tactics, determine if a grant is right for your
project, and meet government agency representatives. Last year's highly
