I do not recommend the airport for private exchange. They charge you a
fee and give you a bad exchange rate. I only go there, in emergency
case, but even then I exchange only $50 max. Did you check if your own
bank has lesser fees for their customers? Or I heard American Express
changes money to a decent rate, but no guarantee.

Can anybody recommend a foreign currency exchange place here in the Bay
Area,
which offers decent exchange rates? Unlike those that the big banks have
with
their horrible rates and fees.

I was told SFO airport offers better rates, but wanted to check first if
there
are any others.
