On Friday and Saturday, August 3 and 4, at 8 p.m. the San
Francisco Choral Society will present the Brahms Requiem, possibly
the most gorgeous choral work ever composed. It will also perform
Morten Lauridsen's Ubi Caritas, an a cappella choral work that
weaves ethereal harmonies into a piece of great beauty. This
concert is not to be missed. The performances will be held at
Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco.

The San Francisco Choral Society is a 260-voice chorus. Over the
course of its eleven-year history, it performed the Mozart
Requiem, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, Britten's War Requiem, and
Orff's Carmina Burana, among others. This concert continues the
SFCS tradition of bringing great choral works to the Bay Area community.

Tickets for the concert are now on sale. Prices are $21 for
Second Tier, $24 for Rear Orchestra, Boxes, and First Tier, and
$27 for Front Orchestra and Loge. Students with ID and Seniors
over 62 get a $2 discount per ticket in all seating areas.

If you would like to order tickets, you may phone City Box Office
at 415-392-4400. There is a $2 per ticket handling charge for
phone orders. Or, you may choose to go to City Box Office to buy
tickets, at 180 Redwood Street, #100, San Francisco (near the
intersection of Van Ness and McAllister). There is no handling
charge for tickets bought in person at City Box Office.
