Dear Friends of SHARE,

We would like to invite you to SHARE for an exceptional meeting / discussion

State Secretary Charles Kleiber, the presidents of EPFL and ETHZ, as well as

track" system and new priority programs
    3. Promoting innovation: increased role and budget for CTI
    4. Intensifying national and international cooperation: in particular at
the European level

The event will start by a short presentation from Dr. Charles Kleiber, State
Secretary of Science and Education who will give his perspective on the
reform of the Swiss research and education environment.
Following this introduction, the following experts will participate in a Q&A
session:

few links below that should give you useful facts and figures and a good
overview of the current debate going on in Switzerland about science &
technology policies.

-- Swiss Science and Technology Council (SSTC) --
Advisory body of the Federal Council for all matters relating to science,
education, research and technology policy. The SSTC works as a think tank,
formulating recommendations to the Federal Council. Their web site contains
numerous articles, statements of opinion and manifestos. On their page
"science policy agenda", you will have access to the text (sorry only in GER
or FR) of the ERT Message as well as the official press release from the
government. The forum pages gives you the opportunity to comment the
different reports they published.

They have also recently released a short "nine-point" program to improve
Swiss Science:
