Axel Bichara - Atlas Venture. Axel is a principal with Atlas
Venture, focusing in the information technology and software fields where he
has been actively involved with highly successful ventures. His perspective
spans both the U.S. and Europe, having been active with Atlas Venture both
here in Boston and also in Munich. Axel has previously co-founded Premise, a
venture-backed software company which was acquired by Computervision in
1991.
Jonathan J. Fleming - Oxford Bioscience Partners. Jonathan is
General Partner of Oxford Bioscience Partners and has been in the investment
business for over fifteen years, starting and financing growth companies in
the United States, Europe and Israel. He has co-founded a venture capital
investment firm specializing in early stage healthcare and biotechnology
companies in Israel, in addition to his activities in Europe and the United
States.
Karl Ruping - IncTANK. Karl is President and a founder of IncTank,
an incubator of and investor in leading-edge ventures in the United States,
Asia and in Europe. He specializes in software technologies and protection
of international intellectual property rights. Karl has been a
post-graduate student at the University of Tokyo at both the faculty of law
and the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology under the Japan
Society for the Promotion of Science, in addition to being a Fellow at MIT's
Advanced Studies Program and a recent winner of the MIMIC Awards here in
Boston.
