AND TEAM ADVENTURE (www.teamadventure.org)
invite you to an event on

"OCEAN RACING: MANAGING THE BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY AND HUMAN CHALLENGES"

on December 12, 2001 from 5:45PM at the Swiss House, 420 Broadway,
Cambridge, MA

Achieving success in extreme sailing events requires exceptional
organizational and entrepreneurial skills. Corporations and universities
are now more involved in the development of technologies at the boundary of
sailboat and aircraft design.

Join us to discuss with Larry Rosenfeld of Team Adventure and Mark Drela of
MIT the exciting new developments in the field of ultra high-speed sailing.

** LARRY ROSENFELD: Fresh from a circumnavigation participating in "The
Race" and a speed record attempt across the North Atlantic, Larry will
present the purpose, goals and technologies involved in the "Team Adventure"
organization. Team Adventure is a US-based organization under the
leadership of Larry Rosenfeld and Cam Lewis, operating a French-built maxi
catamaran with a US-French-Swiss crew.

** MARK DRELA: Mark is an Associate Professor of Aeronautics and
Astronautics at MIT where he performs research in the field of Computational
Aerodynamics. Having collaborated with recent America's Cup efforts and
offering the academic perspective in advanced research on foils, Mark will
offer interesting views on future directions for these machines operating at
the boundary between sailboats and aircraft.
