I don't have an international driving license, only my regular Swiss
"kantonal" one. I heard that it is only allowed to use it for the first
90 days you are in the USA. I'm here since October and I am not sure if
it is legal to drive with this one. Do you know something more precise
about this?

I don't worry too much about beeing caught with these expired license.
But my car insurance would not cover me in a damage event when my
papers are invalid.

My J-1 visa expires at Marth 31th. But you are allowed to stay for
another 30 days. As far as I know you are fine as long as you leave the
USA before this period ends.

I wonder how all the other student in my situation manage this problem.
I assumed some of them would stay an enjoy some vacations before
returning their country. Do they just don't care about, or I am wrong
with something?
