Hi,
I (that is, my employer...) am about to apply for a green
card. To change residency status, I have a choice of:

1. Consular office processing. I-140 is filed with INS. INS forwards
the file to the consular office (procesing time unclear). Consular
office schedules interview (processing time unclear).

2. US-based processing. Currently, it could take up to 2 years (!?)

Has anyone had experience in how the consular processing works and
how long those "unclear" processing times are?

Any help greatly appreciated.

        Davide
