Please join me for the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce's Stammtisch, the
Business Network Meeting for May. The presentation is on "The
Swiss-California Foundation." We meet at 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 1st at
Schroeders at 240 Front Street in San Francisco. We request your R.S.V.P to

The Swiss-California Foundation was established in 2000 by several Swiss
entrepreneurs in Sonoma County, and is dedicated to expanding the cultural
and intellectual exchange between Switzerland and Northern California.
The Foundation offers promising graduates from the University of St. Gallen
an eight-month Fellowship opportunity in Santa Rosa, California. By
participating in short internships at various businesses and organizations,
Swiss-California Fellows gain practical experience in developing and
managing innovative programs in public policy as well as the private
industry which enables them to build a deeper understanding of the American
business culture.
This program structure is created through the many partnerships with and the
support of businesses that foster the Fellowship Program. Due to the
reciprocity of the experience, the Foundation views the internship as a
win-win-situation between the Fellow and the particpating company. Future
Swiss leaders understand the current global business environment while
companies have a workforce that is prepared for key roles in economic and
governmental relations between Switzerland and Northern California.
