Hello David,

In Redwood City harbor there is a club called Spinnaker.
http://www.spinnakersailing.com/
It is definitely not like sailing in the front of SFO, aboard a Swan !!!
but ..it is near by, and the climate is much better.
They do rent and, they accepted my Swiss sailing driving license without any
big discussions.
