Hi Everybody!
There were several discussions since the introduction of the eastcoast email
list, and as a result the swiss-list has now an official spin-off!
***********************************
* The San Francisco Bay Area List *
***********************************
called the sfbay_at_swiss-list.com
for locally important things like
- social events
- infos regarding local shops
- garage sales
- questions regarding local universities/companies
And the swiss-list has been "promoted" to a US-list for discussions
- about visa, taxes
- pension funds, AHV/AVS
- news regarding Switzerland
- job postings (please see the web page regarding job posting policies)
Everyone subscribed to the swiss-list has been automatically subscribed to the
sfbay_at_swiss-list.com list (after all, the new list is a subset of the old list
to which you already subscribed earlier). If you would like to unsubscribe or
subscribe to one of the other regional lists please visit the mailing list
webpage http://www.swiss-list.com/mailing/ . The archives of the new list are
available at http://www.swiss-list.com/mailing/sfbay/
There are currently four regional lists:
- sfbay (San Francisco Bay Area)
- eastcoast
- san-diego
- alumni (People that returned to Switzerland)
If you subscribe to one of the regional lists we highly recommend that you
subscribe to the swiss-list too. Please do never post a message to the
swiss-list and a regional list, as most people on the regional list would get
your message twice!
We are currently working on redesigning the web pages so that the regional
lists get their own space and to move the Bay Area stuff out of the general
pages. This will gradually happen over the next weeks.
Comments and requests are always welcome!
Claudio
