Coming into Europe from the US, I think it depends on the country, but I
don't think they do it in most countries. I know they don't when arriving in
Switzerland.

Within Europe, you most likely won't get it stamped, as there are hardly any
checks anymore.
I don't think you ever ge stamped when leaving.
