I have seen Swiss companies use the B1 (business visitor visa) with
success in the same type of situations. In addition to the forms that
you can find online, you need to have a letter from the employer that
guarantees that you will be paid by them and not receive money from any
US source. The visa is limited to 6 months max and it seems that you
are somewhat restricted to come back to the US in the months following
your return to CH.
