This is misleading info. It's not even called the INS anymore.
Your immigration lawyer ought to give you the real advice.
I know a good lawyer in Pacifica, CA in case you live near there.

My wife and myself are scheduled to become US. citizens. A friend
recently mentioned that the INS may take away our Swiss passports
prior to the oath ceremony. Does anyone have similar experience?
