What problems are you expecting?

I had an H1B and returned on the visa waiver program after the H1B had run
out to take care of issues (I still had property in the U.S.) Did the same
with an F-1 visa, after it had run out.

You may have to accept immigrations officers putting graffitti into your
passport, but given your extensive U.S. experience I'm sure you will handle
these guys well:

If you don't have a machine readable passport you will not be let in. But
you would learn that at the departure airport.
