Can anybody provide some advice on the following issue:

I have been pointed professor and was told that a J1 visa would
be best because my spouse would also like to work in the US after our son (five months old now) will be ready for nursering
school. Today I was informed by the university that I will get
a H1B1 visa status. Does anybody kno the pros and cons ot
these two visa categories? Many thanks in advance for replying!
