Hi Marc,

It is true, that you will have to continue filling out US tax forms every year.
There exist agreements on double taxation between Switzerland and the USA,
which apply to both dual citizens and green card holders. These agreements
avoid that one has to pay taxes on the same income twice. There seems to be a
general rule that any income has to be taxed in the country, where this income
originated, i.e., income generated in Switzerland will be taxed in Switzerland,
and income generated in the USA will be taxed in the USA. Thus you may indeed
end up paying taxes in both countries, but not on the same income.

Here are the links to the two tax agreements.

If you have any additional questions, I suggest contacting the Swiss Federal
Tax Administration directly (http://www.estv.admin.ch/data/dba/d/index.htm).
They will be able to help you much better than I can.

Best regards,

Peter
